What are RSS Feeds?

RSS is a family of web feed formats used to syndicate frequently updated web content, such as news feeds, blogs or podcasts. Really Simple Syndication (RSS) distributes content in a standard (XML) format right to you, saving you the trouble of going back to TIMath.com to get the latest news. These RSS feed subscriptions from Texas Instruments are completely free. Our RSS feeds will deliver updates when new activities are posted, as well as other content on TIMath.com, with links back to the location of the new content.

There are a number of ways to access RSS feeds. Your RSS reader of preference will display RSS feeds from web sites you select.

  1. To use RSS, you will need a RSS reader which will allow you to collect and view RSS content. There are many different RSS readers available, many for free. Most RSS readers are applications that you download and install. Others are Web-based services that you sign up for and work inside your browser. Here are a few web-based RSS readers we recommend:
    • Google Reader
    • My Yahoo!
    • NewsGator Online
    • Netvibes
    • Bloglines
  2. To add a TIMath.com feed to your RSS reader, right-click on a RSS feed icon and select "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location" (depending on what web browser you're using).
  3. Follow the instructions for your RSS reader to add a new feed. Once you've identified how to do this, paste the Feed URL for TIMath.com feed into the location provided by your RSS reader.
  4. Your RSS reader will update you when a new activity is posted for your areas of interest.
